Born and raised in Bruni, Texas where he currently resides. He graduated from Bruni High School and then attended the University of Texas and graduated in 2006 with degrees in Classical Archeology and Cultural Anthropology and is a fraternal member of Phi Delta Theta.

A successful businessman, Tom is the Manager of Los Angeles Cattle Company and co-trustee of his family’s mineral trust. He is a partner and co-founder of the Arena Gun Club and the Arena Archery. He is also a partner of Magnum Mining, Odin Outfitting and L.A. Game Trading.

A dedicated advocate for education, Tom is a member of the United Day School Board where he serves as President of the Board. He is a former board member of Webb Consolidated Independent School District. He also serves as a member of the City of Laredo’s Airport Advisory Board. A lifetime martial artist, Tom enjoys practicing Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Brazilian Ju Jitsu and skydiving on his spare time. He is a former trainer of IBC’s world heavyweight boxing champion, Hector “the Hurricane” Ferreyro. He and his wife, Leslie are proud parents to two beautiful children, Augustus, 7 and Athena 5, who both attend United Day School.
