world ranked in his division for many years, before being given a chance at the title. He
fought his way to the championship in a dramatic fight with title-holder Johnny Jadick
on Feb. 20, 1933, in New Orleans. His purse: $5,000.00. His bouts were staged in the
biggest arenas in Mexico, South America and in the U. S. His Record 122 wins; 19 losses
with 93 knock-outs.
