KO Borrado was born in Santiago, Coahuila. He started his boxing career in Nuevo Laredo and the old Colonia Juarez Boxing Club. Starting in 1932, he trained and fought at the old Fort McIntosh Gym. After 30 wins, 18 by knockout. De la Rosa won the the Texas state featherweight title in November of 1939 by decisioning Bobby Seagull of Houston in 15 rounds in Corpus Christi. In July of 1940, Borrado defended his title against Seagull with another decision. The fight was in El Paso. Borrado vacated his title when he moved to a heavier division. He later fought in the Boston Garden, New York and Kentucky. He retired in the late 1940s.
